Our goal is to promote this miraculous “fruit juice” full of exceptional beneficial nutrients, to attain its deserved position in a balanced and healthy diet. The current legislations sadly allow a large part of olive oil producers and sellers to bottle and distribute low quality EVOO.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil we produce at Olea Prilis, has nothing in common with these mass-produced olive oils, either in taste, smell or nutritive benefits.

Our love story with Tuscany goes back to the early 1990’s, when having studied Estate Management in Scotland, I was asked to manage a farm in the Maremma region of Tuscany. Candice, then a professional violinist, co-founded the Accademia Solti that is now internationally renowned, and a significant part of the cultural life of Castiglione della Pescaia, the beautiful seaside village close to our farm.

Since those early days in Tuscany, we have divided our lives between Italy and Switzerland, a country we both love and respect for many reasons. Our daughters Livia and Tullia were born in Switzerland, and they have always been proud of their “Swiss origins” and their love for the Swiss Alps of the Vaud region where they spent their early childhood. The distribution of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Switzerland is important for us, and a way of maintaining these ties in this new phase of our lives. For us bringing our EVOO to Switzerland feels like “giving back “ the fruit of our efforts to a country that has been generous to us!
