One Saturday afternoon in 2013, Eduardo García told Douglas Carvajal his desire to bring his family's wines, Arautava, to the Dominican Republic. At that moment Sembra began. The line of wines from family producers with a sense of origin has always been the focus of Eduardo and Douglas ever since.
It was in 2017 when they established the first small Agency, becoming the haunt of the most passionate "winelovers" in Santo Domingo. In 2019, with the opening of Sembra as a Wine Bar and a new Agency, they continue to look to the future with wineries such as Raventos i Blanc, Remelluri, Pierre Péters, Domaine de la Janasse and Borsao as their banner.
