Description
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2018 is a Pauillac wine that stems from a 90-hectare vineyard, of which 58 are planted in a single block. The vines are 38 years old on average and are planted on deep gravelly outcroppings.Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Grand-Puy-Lacoste is scented of warm blackcurrants, black cherries, spice box, florals and chocolate box with a menthol hint. Full-bodied, the palate is rich, plush and generous, finishing long and perfumed. Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste took its current form in 1855, although it was built in the 16th century. The wine estate was greatly influenced during its ownership by Raymond Dupin from 1930 to 1978. Dupin ceded the property to the Borie family, who have carried out numerous renovations since then. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is today one of the most representative estates of the Pauillac appellation.
